Keep Track Of Organizational Skills Special Needs

In days gone by, it was not rude to use the word, handicapped. People took it at its face value and that was the end of the matter. Now, you will be viewed as a very uncivilized and crude person, if you do not use the word special or challenged when you refer to a person with a physical or mental disability. Therefore organizational skills special needs deal with the various factors concerning the managing of such persons.

Over the years, quite a few schools and educational institutions have realized that there is an urgent need to treat people with special needs in a particular way. In the first place, you need to understand that there is a person whose need is far different from a normal person. He or she might need a lot more attention and care. Of course, this cannot be generalized; not all people with special needs require the same quantum of care. The problem gets a bit prickly when those in charge of taking care of such people lack organizational skills special needs to treat various people.

Let us take for instance, the case of a photographic factory. Many years ago, it was a practice to carry out all the developing work in the dark. Probably now, there are machines that do this work. Till very recently, people were required to carry out this work in near darkness. One innovative manager hit upon a novel idea: since the work had to be done in the dark, it would be a lot better to have a visually impaired person to work in this section rather than a person who had no such impairment. This is a clear case of organizational skills special needs; a decision taken with a lot of foresight and thought. This manager was of the opinion that, a blind person would have a lot more kinesthetic intelligence than his counterpart who had no sight problems. Having understood the essence of organizational skills special needs, he was prepared to put an innovative idea into practice. He did succeed in giving employment to over 1500 visually impaired people, who would otherwise have been unable to find suitable employment elsewhere.

When you talk of organizational skills special needs in a school, it is necessary to show a lot of tact and skill when you are trying to deal with students who have learning disorders. These children can be classified as children with special needs; they need to be taken care of by a professional who is trained in looking after children with low and high order special need problems. These needs could range from a high level of autism to something as simple as mild dyslexia. In all these cases, it is necessary to have a well trained professional who would be able to deal with all levels in educational institutions.
